Celebrate Local and Seasonal Award – Food Made Good
This award was one of 17 that was presented at a ceremony on (1st October) at FEST Camden in London. The awards recognise restaurants and foodservice businesses whose accomplishments in the last year are helping diners use the power of their appetites wisely.
“We know we have the best seasonal ingredients available right on our doorstep, and this award showcases what can be achieved by forming great relationships within the local communities where we operate. We love celebrating our local farmers, growers and producers explaining to our customers why supporting them is so vital to our food supply.” said Pauline Cox, Director FoodSpace
The Celebrate Local and Seasonal award, sponsored by Just Hospitality, is designed to recognise foodservice businesses demonstrating innovation to make the most of local produce and suppliers. Last year’s winner of this category was The Gallivant for its 15-mile menu, featuring only ingredients from within that circumference.
The Celebrate Local and Seasonal award is one of ten categories that align with the ten key themes of the SRA’s Food Made Good sustainability framework. Operators fulfilling all ten meet the definition of a good restaurant or foodservice business.
None of this would be possible without all the hard work of our local suppliers and the creative mind of all our amazing chefs!
