We have been working with the team at Simmons Bakery in Hatfield for over six years and they supply home-made breads, fresh cakes and buns to one of our FoodSpace locations just down the road.
It’s the ethos of Simmons that is right up our FoodSpace street. It’s a family business. First started by Aunt Eliza in 1838 and now run by family members who’s mission it is to make sure that the bread’s as fresh today as it was when great great great aunt Eliza was turning it out of the tin. And, despite the heritage of the business – the team don’t rest on their laurels. We love working with them because they are extremely open to developing the range and trying new things so that the business is as relevant today as it was in 1838.
Made and served by local people in the Hatfield bakery, the commitment is that nothing travels more than 25 miles, over to shelf – we’re just glad that we’re within their catchment!
