Yiqiang Xie was required to do an international internship. When he saw an opening in London with FoodSpace he immediately applied for it and by his own admission couldn’t have been happier to join the team.
Although based in London, in his first few weeks he was able to travel across some of our other locations to understand how catering works as a whole. What has really stood out for Yiquiang during his intern is the flexibility as he hasn’t been bound or fixed to one particular task or place and as a result has gained a lot of experience in a short period of time.
For him, it has been a very busy internship with an element of responsibility, which has not only been rewarding, but exactly what has kept him going and his work interesting? In his own words, ‘this internship has been a great learning experience and has given me the confidence to be able to run my own operation in the future. It has been fun, exciting and definitely a great learning experience. In fact, a life time experience!’
